Sono nato a Volterra in provincia di Pisa nel 1971.
Ho passato la mia gioventù nel piccolo borgo di Montegemoli, dove ho imparato a vivere ed osservare i colori e i cambiamenti della natura con i suoi colori e le sue stagioni.
Da grande ho deciso di intraprendere gli studi tecnici e sono diventato geometra a Volterra dove svolgo la mia professione.
Ho iniziato a fotografare con una Nikon F70 – a pellicola, dove al massimo si potevano fare 36 scatti – i paesaggi e le campagne circostanti del mio “paesello”, situato nel cuore delle Toscana, tra colline sinuose e calanchi spogli.
Il passaggio al digitale, per usare gli obiettivi acquistati negli anni, è avvenuto con una Nikon D80.
Per conoscere più approfonditamente e iniziare a capire il mondo della fotografia nel 2013 ho frequentato il corso organizzato dal Gruppo Fotografico GIAN di Volterra con cui ho, negli anni successivi, partecipato a eventi e varie mostre collettive.
Nel 2015 ho acquistato la Nikon D750 affiancata poi dalla Nikon Z50 che porto sempre con me in uno zaino e da cui non mi separo mai.
Nikon Z5 e Nikon Z6 sono le ultime “arrivate”.
Spinto dalla curiosità di vedere il mondo da una “diversa prospettiva” mi sono avvicinato alle riprese aeree attraverso l’uso del piccolo drone DJI Mini 2 e del DJI AIR3 e alle foto a “360” con l’action-cam Insta360 X3.
Ogni momento della mia giornata può diventare occasione ed ispirazione per scattare nuove immagini e per far vedere il mondo dal mio punto di vista.
I was born in Volterra in 1971.
I spent my childhood in the small village of Montegemoli, where I’ve started to observe nature, its colours and its unique changes.
As I grew up, I made the choice to pursue technical studies and I became a surveyor in Volterra, where I currently work.
With a Nikon F70 camera - which had a maximum of 36 shots per session- I began taking photos of the nearby landscapes and the countryside of Montegemoli (located in the heart of Tuscany).
After some time, I felt the need to switch to digital so, to use the lenses purchased over the years, I bought a Nikon D80.
To gain more knowledge and a better understanding of photography, in 2013 I attended a course organized by the GIAN Photographic Group in Volterra. Since 2013 I’ve been involved in numerous events and group exhibitions.
In 2015 I bought the Nikon D750 and then the Nikon Z50: two cameras that I always have in my backpack and constantly use.
Then I bought the Nikon Z5 and the Nikon Z6.
Driven by curiosity to see the world from a 'different perspective', I approached aerial shooting through the use of the small drone DJI Mini 2 and the DJI AIR3, and took 360-degree photos with the action camera Insta360 X3.
I believe that every day is a chance for me to take new pictures and to let people see the world from my perspective.
